Rebecca Joan Yeend

Rebecca is a self-taught artist who has painted all her life, and who describes her work as "outsider art." Test Pot Tantrum, her first solo exhibition and Toi Ora's premier exhibition in it's new gallery space, explores the idea of playing with colours and shapes, patterns within patterns.

After exhausting her passion for abstract, Rebecca wanted to paint recognizable form, splashes of everyday life. Fauvism, a movement Rebecca admires, was the influence for this development.
