VOICE & VISION

I woke this morning late

so I didn’t make my appointment with my therapist

I did not spend 50 minutes with a woman I trust and admire

I did not receive balm for my soul

and guidance for my path.

If I am not careful I will douse myself with a bucket of guilt

Instead I drop that hot potato as fast as it tries to hook me in.

My therapy must be working.
